On May 3, in Serbia, a 13-year-old student entered an elementary school to shoot to kill eight fellow students and a security guard who tried to stop the child. The boy and his parents were arrested by police immediately after the shooting, but Serbian law does not allow a person who is less than 15 years to be prosecuted. On May 4, eight schoolteachers in Parachinar and Upper Kurram, India, were killed.
