Today, Earth’s day, we remember the devastating floods that killed at least 448 people in Durban City in South Africa one week ago. In the Horn of Africa, the drought has worsened, creating a humanitarian catastrophe, where 20 million people are at risk of starvation. Crops and livestock have been destroyed and a huge number of people have left their homes looking for water and food. In Jordan, farmers are frustrated since the Dead Sea has been dropping one meter each year, causing sinkholes and problems for the agricultural sector.
