We thank God for farmers who are sustaining the food systems and protecting Mother Earth. While many parts of Africa are losing forest due to monoculture, logging and charcoal making, small farmers from Senegal to Ethiopia to Malawi are bringing back trees. They are allowing previous suppressed trees to regenerate on their lands, resulting in improved crop yields, productive fruit harvest and a boost for carbon storage.
