On Saturday 15 April, fighting broke out in Sudan. The battle erupted in Khartoum and other cities of the country between the army and the powerful paramilitary group RSF (Rapid Support Forces). Both groups were allies and worked together in the 2021 coup. Tensions have increased over the control of the military forces. At least 300 people have been killed and hundreds are fleeing the conflict. Despite the ceasefire for Eid al Fitr, heavy fighting continues in the capital.
