In Thailand, a supermarket has initiated the practice of swapping plastic wrappings for banana leaves, promoting a more environmentally friendly approach. The supermarket, located in Chiang Mai, is the driving force behind this initiative, which has gained widespread attention on social media. Vegetables are now wrapped in pesticide-safe banana leaves, and the leaves are fastened with a flexible piece of bamboo, significantly reducing the amount of plastic used.
