Solar Cookers International is an organization that was created to improve human health, economic well-being, women’s empowerment, and protection of the environment by creating climate-friendly solar cookers for vulnerable populations in more than 135 countries worldwide. The solar cooker is made from cardboard, tinfoil, and use mirrors to reflect sunlight to cook meals for 5-6 people and pasteurize water.
